Job Title: INVESTIGATIONS COORDINATOR

Purpose of the position: Recruit and maintain a viable pool of testers and conduct housing
discrimination testing.
Reports to: Executive Director/Director of Programs
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Program
1. Recruit housing discrimination testers, per grant requirements; working with Education
and Outreach Coordinator, identify groups and agencies with which to collaborate on
recruitment; schedule, publicize, and conduct three-hour tester trainings and one-hour
tester refresher sessions, per grant requirements; conduct trainings with senior staff to
provide information on fair housing laws and testing protocols;
3. Maintain weekly communication with testers to schedule and conduct testing;
4. Create test set-ups, instructions, and forms; brief and debrief testers; conduct testing in
accordance with SSFHC testing guidelines and protocols, with oversight by Executive
Director;
5. Conduct detailed, timely, and incisive comparisons and analyses of test reports;
6. Create method to communicate agency appreciation to current volunteers/testers;
7. Work cooperatively with Executive Director and legal counsel on cases; and
8. Other duties as assigned.
B. Administrative
1. With Director of Programs, create quarterly tester recruitment/testing goals to reflect
grant requirements;
2. Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies with Education and Outreach
Coordinator; maintain records of all recruitment efforts and materials;
3. Supervise testers;
4. Review/revise investigative techniques and testing documents, as needed and per
grant requirements;
5. Submit timely requests for tester reimbursements;
6. Maintain a database of testers and tests conducted;
7. Assist with data collection for grant reporting; and
8. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience in related field; excellent organizational and analytical
skills; ability to manage and prioritize tasks; written and oral communications skills; ability to work with
diverse groups of people.
