      Find and attend a public meeting of a relevant committee. No agenda. No comment. Just observe.

      Find one local organization and sign up.
      Identify one organization working on your issue and sign up for their newsletter or updates.
      Step 3
      Send a short note to a committee staffer.
      Find the public contact information for a key committee staffer and send a short, positive note about a recent meeting topic.
